Accessibility Statement
Built to be used by everyone, not just some of us.
Accessibility isn’t an add-on for us, it’s the whole point. Here’s what we do, on this website and in how we work with you, to make sure that’s true.
This website
- We aim to meet Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA, including colour contrast, resizable text and clear focus indicators.
- Every page can be navigated using a keyboard alone, with a “skip to content” link for screen reader and keyboard users.
- Page changes are announced to screen readers, and focus moves to the new page heading automatically.
- A text-size and contrast toolbar is available on every page (see the button in the corner of your screen).
- Motion and animation are reduced automatically if your device is set to “reduce motion”.
How we communicate with you
- Auslan interpreters can be arranged for meetings and appointments, just ask when you get in touch.
- TIS National (Translating and Interpreting Service) is available free on 131 450 if English isn’t your first language.
- National Relay Service: if you are deaf or have a hearing or speech impairment, reach us via TTY 133 677, Speak & Listen 1300 555 727, or SMS relay 0423 677 767.
- Easy Read and large print versions of our service information are available on request.
- You’re welcome to bring a support person, family member or advocate to any conversation with us.
